Когда я была в школе моя учительница часто подчеркивала важность изучения Phrasal Verbs, причем я вообще не видела смысла их учить, тк их всегда можно было заменить другими английскими словами. Мне казались они ненужным слэнгом, которым пользуются крайне редко и при чем он не показывает все мощь и изящность языка. Как оказадось я была на 100% не права, если вы едите заграницу, то в основном этими Phrasal verbs все и общаются, и ты их сам начинаешь употреблять не потому что хочешь упростить свою речь, а просто потому что тебя так лучше поймут и примут за "своего". Правда я когда просматривала учебники по английскому нас учили какими - то не совсем важными и нужными выражениями, и многие из них я даже ни разу не слышала чтобы здесь употребляли, но 20ку тех которые я употребляю почти каждый день я бы смело дала на заучивание тем, кто собирается посещать англо-язычные страны. А именно:
1) brake up = finish relationship (with boyfriend)
2) bring up = mention a topic
3) calm down = become calm again / make (someone) feel calmer
4) carry on = continue
5) check out = leave a hotel/ look at that
6) cheer up = become happy again / make (someone) feel happier
7) drop off = leave something/someone somewhere; pick up = go to get someone
8) fill in (fill out) = complete (a form)
9) find out = discover information
10) give up = stop trying, quit a habit
11) hand in = submit
12) put on = wear; take off = remove clothing / leave the ground (airplane)
13) try on = wear clothing to see if it fits
14) turn down = decrease volume; turn up = increase volume
15) turn off (switch off) = stop (a machine); turn on (switch on) = start (a machine)
16) work out = do physical exercise
17) check in = register at a hotel or the airport
18) come across = find by chance
19) deal with = handle a situation
20) get off = leave a public vehicle (e.g. bus, train); get on = enter any public vehicle
21) get over = recover from an illness or an unpleasant event
22) go over = review
23) go ahead = proceed
24) grow up = become an adult
25) look after = take care of
26) look for =search for
27) pass away = die
28) run into = meet by chance
29) run out = finish the supply
30) count on = rely on
31) drop in = come without appointment or notice
32) get along = like each other
33) hang out = spend time relaxing
34) make up = cosmetics
35) log in = sign in; log out = sign out
